A little bit about me...
This is my 21st year teaching middle school math. I taught for 2 years near Houston, 3 years at Turner Middle School in Berthoud, 8 years at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland, and this is my 8th year at Webber Middle School. Go Panthers!!!
I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University (Gig'em Aggies!) and my graduate degree from University of Northern Colorado (in Middle School Math Education).
My "children" are my pets. Max is the American Eskimo. I rescued him about 12 years ago and he's the sweetest dog ever (I'm a little biased). I rescued a cat, Keke, at the beginning of 2017 when she was a year and 3 months old. She's a handful, but super sweet. She loves people and dogs (yes, I think this is weird, but awesome).
I love to relax at home when I'm not teaching. Finding a really good book is a MUST for me. I always have a book that I'm currently reading and if I don't have a current book, then I am asking my friends for suggestions. My favorite book is by Mitch Albom called "Tuesdays with Morrie". I also love to watch TV to relax - especially 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Friends', 'Downton Abbey', and 'Doctor Who'. I just started watching 'Star Trek, The Next Generation' this summer and I think I'm slowly becoming a Trekkie. I picked up my crochet hooks again this summer and made a blanket and some scarves. I also recently learned how to knit, so I practiced knitting this summer as well. It can be a challenge to crochet or knit with an adventurous cat who loves to play with yarn. Haha!
I am SO glad that I had the opportunity to travel with Webber staff, students, and parents in March 2015. We took a fabulous group to Costa Rica during Spring Break 2015.
***Note: Unfortunately, I have severe chronic back pain which limits my mobility. This will give students the opportunity to help me out more and THEY will get to move around more (which is much needed for all kiddos).
